Albert Lescow was a member of the Urania Glashütte association. His father was also a watchmaker in Osnabrück and had learned the art of watchmaking with master Heyl. Today’s modern watch and clock wholesaler Baron is a descendant of Lescow, who died in World War I.|

The Musée d’Horlogerie in Geneva exhibits an ébauche with anchor escapement and the same type of winding system. It was developed by Oliver Courvoisier, who received its English patent No. 1114 in 1873.
