A Swiss 18 carat gold hunting cased minute repeating keyless pocket watch with Jacquemart automaton, circa 1900. The jewelled movement with a lever escapement. Translucent red enamel on the front featuring a small, screwed on, central, engine turned blue enamel dial with gold Arabic hour numerals, outer dot minute divisions, auxiliary seconds and gold Louis XV hands, surrounded by a multicoloured gold automaton scene depicting Chronos (father time) on the left and two putti on the right striking the bells in unison with the repeating, a cornucopia underneath. An engine turned case with a decoratively engraved vacant cartouche on the front, and plain bezels, pendant and bow, the hinged back with a cuvette. Dial and movement signed, case signed and numbered.
