A Swiss 18 carat rose gold open faced split seconds chronograph pocket watch retailed by C.D. Peacock in Chicago, U.S.A., circa 1900. The jewelled movement with a lever escapement. A plain cuvette. White enamel dial with black Arabic hours, outer minute divisions with red Arabic five minute numerals and an outermost fifth of a second track, a 30 minute register at 12 o’clock, subsidiary seconds at 6 and fine gold hands. The plain case with a hinged back. Dial and movement signed by the retailer, case and movement with matching numbers.
