An American 14 carat gold hunting cased keyless pocket watch made by the American Waltham Watch Company in Waltham, Massachusetts, circa 1903. The adjusted Swiss lever escapement with 23 jewels, a cut and compensated bimetallic balance and diamond endstone. White enamel dial with black Arabic hours, outer minute divisions, outermost red Arabic five minute numerals, subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock and blued steel spade hands. The hinged, engraved case with applied three colour gold decoration and a single stone on the back. Dial signed Waltham, movement signed and numbered, case numbered and stamped B.W.C.Co. for the Brooklyn Watch Case Company.
