A fine Danish 18 carat gold open faced quarter repeating key wind pocket watch made by Jules Jürgensen in Copenhagen, circa 1850. The gilt full plate movement with a sprung detent escapement, three arm balance, and cut and compensated balance bridge. White enamel dial with Roman hour numerals, outer minute divisions, sunk subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock and blued steel moon hands. The hinged case with a vacant cartouche on the back. Dial signed, case and movement signed and numbered. Comes with a winding key.
