A French 18 gold open faced quarter repeating pocket watch made by Breguet, circa 1803. Sold March 28th, 1803, to Mr Line for 1316 Francs. The gilt finished key wind movement with a cylinder escapement and plain three arm balance. White enamel dial with Arabic hour numerals, an outer minute track and blued steel Breguet hands. The engine turned, hinged case with a reeded band, blank cartouche on the back and gilt brass cuvette, plunge repeat through the pendant. Dial signed and numbered, case and movement numbered, dial and case with matching numbers. Comes with an associated gold chain and a key.
