An unusual and rare French brass open faced key wind inking chronograph, circa 1870. The movement with a cylinder escapement and plain three arm balance, wound through the back. White enamel dial with an outer 60 second track, an anti clockwise running ten minute register at 6 o’clock, a sweeping seconds hand for the ink reserve and a marking pin actuated by the button in the pendant. The drum form case with a bayonet fitted dome. Movement numbered.
