An English 18 carat gold open faced key wind pocket watch with stoppable seconds made by Collingwood & Co in West Hartlepool, Chester Hallmarked for 1834. The gilt ¾ plate English lever movement with a cut and compensated bimetallic balance. White enamel dial with Roman hour numerals, an outer minute track with fifth of a second divisions calibrated from 0-300, gilt spade hands and a blued seconds hand. The polished hinged case is monogrammed on the back and has a start/stop slide at 2 o’clock. Dial and movement signed, case stamped IJTN, case and movement with matching numbers.
