Silver cylinder watch by Brequet

A smooth silver case without numbers, very fine Breguet precision movement, ruby cylinder escapement and central winding, circa 1817-1828.
Temperature compensation, main plate signed Breguet No. 2976, engine turned silver dial, blued steel hands, very beautiful condition.

This watch comes from a collection former sold in auction 1983 (see label). According to the business card by Emmanuel Breguet and the Breguet archive this watch was sold in 1817 with gold case and enamel dial and was customised with an original silver dial in 1828 and probably became the silver case at the same time.
