A very fine cylinder watch with hours and quarter repeater, made circa 1825. The open faced case of this watch was crafted from 18 carat gold and has an engine turned back lid. The especially beautiful engine turned silver dial with three different engravings, has Roman hour numerals and gold Breguet hands. The lépine movement has a cylinder escapement and a mechanism to repeat the hours and quarters.
The case and movement have matching numbers.
