An English silver pair-cased verge pocket watch, hallmarked London 1848. Full plate fusee movement, round pillars, pierced and engraved round cock, steel regulator on the top plate below the plain three-arm steel balance. White enamel dial with Roman hours, outer minute divisions, a central polychrome enamel scene of a green locomotive pulling passenger carriages, the first one open, gold hands. Plain matching cases, silver oval pendant and bow, maker’s mark JB over WW and the number corresponding to that on the movement.
