A Swiss 14 carat rose gold hunting-cased quarter repeating pocket watch with concealed erotic automaton, circa 1900. Attributed to A. Lugrin. Nickel-plated lever movement, repeating the hours and quarters. White enamel dial with Arabic numerals and blued steel hands. Dome with additional lid under which a concealed erotic automaton, extremely splendid multi-coloured enamelled version of the automaton ‘The Sultan and his Beloved’. Plain case, the back originally decorated with jewels, the jewels are now missing.

There are many different versions of these erotic automatons. They are mainly attributed to the manufacturer Lugrin. The version with enamelled figures is extremely rare.
