A rare Swiss 18 carat gold and enamel open faced Art Nouveau pocket watch, circa 1900. Fine cylinder movement, wolf’s toothing. Exceptional violet enamel dial with Roman hours and outer minute divisions, rose gold hands. The case back with an enamelled portrait of the goddess Athena, a rare representation with a helmet in the shape of a swan, the lower part of the décolleté set with rose-cut diamonds (one diamond missing). Case numbered, movement signed.
