An English silver, gilt metal and tortoiseshell key wind quadruple cased pocket watch made for the Turkish market, London Hallmark for 1827. Gilt full plate movement with fusee verge escapement, pierced and engraved balance cock, hybrid pillars, silver regulation. Silver champlevé dial with black Turkish numerals, outer minute divisions, blued steel beetle and poker hands.
Polished inner and outer cases, third tortoiseshell case with piqué work decoration, polished gilt metal outer case with relief foliate decoration. Dial signed, case stamped JC.
