A very fine and highly interesting English silver open faced deck chronometer, hallmarked London 1833. Very fine English chronometer movement, trapezoidal weights, helical hairspring, spring detent escapement. White enamel dial with Roman hours and outer minute divisions, subsidiary seconds, gold hands. Engine turned case, reeded band. Contained in a special mahogany box, glazed lid, in the lower part a drawer with an ivory handle, inside are a spare glass, the key and a silver watch chain. Case numbered, dial signed, movement signed and numbered, case and movement with matching numbers.
