A very fine, thin French 20 Carat gold open faced pocket watch, Medaillon simple à deux aiguilles, circa 1812. Sold to Mister Moreau on May 13th, 1812 for the sum of FF 1320. Gilded brass movement with going barrel, overhanging ruby set cylinder escapement, mono metallic balance and blued steel flat hairspring, blued steel index regulator and polished steel parachute. Decentralized engine-turned dial with Roman numerals. Plain case by Tavernier. Dial and cuvette signed, case and movement numbered. Comes with gold Breguet winding key with a gold chain.
