A rare Swiss silver open faced keyless lever watch, circa 1886. Nickel finished jewelled lever movement. Silver cuvette. Silver dial with engraved foliate scrolls to the centre, white enamel cartouches with blue enamel Roman numerals. The bezel engraved with In Tempestate Secvritas, hinged case back with engraved scene in high relief of Saint George slaying the dragon and also engraved with S Georgivs Eqvitvm Patronvs, the inside of the case back depicting Jesus and His disciples crossing the Sea of Galilee in a boat during a great storm. Movement and cuvette signed and numbered.
