An early and extraordinary German silver verge pocket watch, circa 1700-1715. Very early German movement, signed main-plate, verge cock with restored enamel medallion, very large steel balance, early hairspring, verge escapement. Champlevé dial with angel portrait, Roman hours and Arabic five minutes, gilt hands, intact but not in all positions, very rare. The original case missing for a long time, silver lock disc on the back.
