An especially large and heavy German 18 carat rose gold ankerchronometer pocket watch, circa 1904. Probably former aristocratic property. Glazed, very fine quality 1A ankerchronometer movement with Glashütte chronometer balance, diamond endstone, screwed gold chatons, gold lever, gold escape wheel. White enamel dial with Arabic hours and outer minute divisions, subsidiary seconds, original rose gold Louis XV hands. Case engine-turned, the front with an engraved family coat of arms depicting a deer and hunting horn. Dial signed, case numbered, movement signed and numbered, case and movement with matching numbers. Comes with an Extract from the Archives and the, probably, original leather case, marked AL Etui de Poche.
