Gilt Waltham secometer pocket watch

An American lever with a secometer dial in a gold filled open face case, circa 1920. Damascened nickelled split three-quarter plate keyless 17 jewel movement with going barrel. Plain cock with polished steel micrometre regulator, compensation balance with blue steel overcoil hairspring. Club foot lever escapement. Signed white metal dial with gilt Arabic numerals and blue steel hands. The seconds are indicated in an arc at six o’clock by a rotating silvered disc marked in Arabic numerals. Gold filled open face case with chased middle, plain back marked ‘Waltham Wadsworth Quality – 14-carat gold filled’.
