Gold pocket watch with an associated key

A fine and rare, 18 carat gold, hunting cased pocket watch, accompanied by an associated key. Made by E. Howard & Co., Boston Circa 1857.
Four body, polished, engine-turned case with covers with engraved borders and central reserves and a hinged cuvette with engine-turned border, apertures for winding and setting and an inscription.
White enamel dial with radial Roman numerals, outer minute ring, sunk subsidiary seconds and blued steel polished spade hands. Three-quarter plate movement with 15 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut-bimetallic compensation balance with gold screws, blued steel flat balance spring and engraved balance cock. Engraved, Reed’s. Patent Nov.24.1857.
Dial and movement signed, case signed CEM&Co.
