A rare gold filled American collector’s watch made by the Elgin National Watch Company in Elgin Illinois, United States, circa 1919. It has an open faced case that has a partially enamelled Masonic relief on the reverse with enamelled lettering “William Scales from his Masonic Brethern, Ottawa Illinois 1919”, an enamel dial with blued steel hands and a very fine “Father Time” quality precision lever movement with 21 jewels, screwed gold chatons, gold minute wheel and a special fine adjustment which is regulated in 5 positions.
