A very fine Swiss 18 carat rose gold open faced minute repeating keyless lever dress watch with superior adjustment, circa 1900. Superior nickel-silver movement, Geneva striping decoration, 30 jewels including four in gold chatons, straight-line counterpoised lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with gold timing screws, blued steel Breguet balance spring, swan-neck micrometre regulator, repeating on gongs by activating slide in the band. Double-sunk white enamel dial with painted Arabic numerals, outer minute track with red Arabic five-minute markers, subsidiary seconds and original blued steel spade hands. Solid case, polished. Gold hinged cuvette engraved Sir Frank B. Hill Chairman Triennial Committee 25th Triennial Conclave Denver Colo. 1892. Dial and movement signed, case numbered.
