A fine and unusual Swiss eight day going Chronomaster clock with 24 hour dial, chronograph and calendar, circa 1945. Movement with 13 jewels, adjusted to temperatures, straight-line lever escapement, cut mono-metallic compensation balance, Breguet balance spring. White enamel dial, outer track for date, upper counter for elapsed time, lower counter for split second totalizer and original black Cathedral hands. Black plastic base surmounted by clear Perspex dome with brass hoop for wall mounting. Movement signed and numbered. Accompanied by its original instructions.

After World War II, Jaeger USA had stocks remaining of the Chronomaster clocks used on board military aircraft. In order to reach a broader market, they mounted them in perspex cases, converting them to wall or desk clocks.
