A very fine and rare Swiss 18 carat gold open-faced trip minute repeating two train keyless lever pocket watch, circa 1900. Nickel-plated movement, two train with tandem winding, 35 jewels, Geneva striping, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with blued steel Breguet balance spring, swan-neck micrometer regulator, repeating on gongs with independent train released by depressing the button on winding crown. Gold hinged cuvette. White enamel dial with letter numerals spelling the name Charles L. Paar, outer minute track with red painted ten-minute numerals, subsidiary seconds, and original black steel spade hands. Polished case, the back with an engraved monogram. Dial, case, and movement signed case and movement numbered.
