A fine and very rare Irish 18 carat gold pair cased lever pocket watch, Hallmarked Dublin 1781. Frosted gilt full plate movement, tapered cylindrical pillars, fusee and chain, lever escapement, three armed brass balance, flat balance spring, pierced and foliate engraved single footed cock, diamond endstone, silver regulation dial. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer dot minute divisions, Arabic five minute numerals and original gold beetle and poker hands.  Plain outer case, plain inner case, gilt dust cover. Movement signed, both cases with the punchmark of Arthur O’Neill, Dublin.
