Gold and enamel pendant watch

A fine Swiss 22 carat gold and enamel open faced verge pendant watch, circa 1690. A hinged, gilt-brass full plate movement made circa 1770 by François Hochenadel, Ø 34 mm, conical pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement, three-arm brass balance, pierced and engraved foliate continental clock, a polished steel endplate with faceted garnet endstone, silver regulation dial. A white annular ring with bold Roman hours on a gold base, the centre with a polychrome enamel scene of Venus and Adonis and gold Louis hands. The case back is painted with the scene of the Bath of Bathsheba, curved-in edges, on the inside a polychrome enamel rural landscape, the band with four cartouches depicting countryside landscapes, loose ring pendant. Movement numbered and signed François Hochenadel à Vienne.
