A fine and large Swiss 18 carat gold hunting cased minute repeating chronograph keyless lever pocket watch with triple-date calendar, register and moon phases made for the Spanish market, circa 1900. Retailed by El Trust, Madrid. Frosted gilt Swiss movement, 21 jewels, a straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, centrifugal governor and index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a push-button on the band. A hinged gold cuvette engraved with prize medals and technical details. White enamel dial with Arabic hours, an outer minute track and outermost fifths of a second divisions with Arabic five-minute/second numerals, subsidiary dials for the seconds, date concentric with a 30-minute register, apertures for the days of the week, months and the moon phases, blued steel spade hands. The case is entirely engraved and engine-turned with flowers and scrolls, an olive-shaped button at 4 o’clock for the start/stop and return-to-zero functions of the chronograph. Dial and cuvette signed, case numbered. Comes with the original fitted wooden presentation box.
