Silver 18th-century style pocket watch

An unusual English silver open faced lever pocket watch with moon phases made in the style of the early 18th century, circa 1876-1877. Matte gilt movement, Ø 42 mm, fusee and chain, a lateral lever escapement, plain three-arm balance, flat balance spring, engraved single-foot balance cock and index regulator on the backplate. A fixed silver cuvette with a winding aperture. Cast silver dial with a sector for 24 hours in Roman numerals VI-XII twice, an outer minute track with Arabic five-minute numerals, an aperture for the moon phases and a gilt baton hand. The polished case with a reeded band, a vacant cartouche on the back, London hallmarked 1876-1877. Movement signed and numbered.
