A fine, unusual and large French square gilt-decorated gunmetal keyless lever pocket watch, circa 1910. Retailed by Ovington Brothers, New York. Frosted gilt movement, 15 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator. Glazed cuvette. Enamel dial with black Arabic numerals on circular green sunray guilloché reserves, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds and original gilt Louis XV hands. Square case, gilt decoration, inset corners.
