A rare Austrian square pocket watch with automatic winding by oscillating weight pedometer system, Loehr Patent movement, circa 1880.
Lavishly florally engraved square silver case with raptorial bird decoration, Dust cover labelled Remontoir Automatique. Signed original enamel dial with Roman radial hours, outer minutes track with Arabic five minutes numerals, subsidiary for the seconds, power reserve indicator, and blued steel hands. Automatic Square movement based on the Loehr patent, lever escapement, a pedometer system with oscillating weight and a gold screw compensation balance. Case and movement with matching numbers.
