–
A decorative and remarkable Austrian gold/enamel pear form pendant watch, circa 1800. Gold case with champlevé enamel motifs: yellow, white and translucent red flowers and gold foliage against an opaque enamelled cobalt blue ground. The engraving and enamelling on the case are outstanding; the peduncle and the receptacle are finely executed. The enamel dial has radial Breguet numerals, an outer minutes track and Breguet hands. Signed, full plate movement, keywind, chain/fusee, verge escapement. This watch is a one-of-a-kind piece of jewellery.
