A very fine and rare Austrian pair cased coach clock with hour self strike and alarm, circa 1720. Gilt, frosted full plate movement, keywind, engraved, florally pierced decorations, signed, chain/fusee, Egyptian movement pillars, 2 hammers, count wheel, blued screws, verge escapement, silver regulator disc, four armed iron balance, fine florally engraved, pierced balance cock with shell decoration. Silver dial, champlevé Roman hours, turnable alarm disc in the centre and a blued snake hand. Small silver case, pierced and engraved with birds, acanthus and masks, large lateral hinge, in the centre an engraved flower and a monogram ‘GWS’, bell.
