Large English gilt oval foliate verge pocket watch Circa 1600

An English gilt oval foliate watch, circa 1600. Gilt movement with scallop edge plates, foliate with hog hair bristle regulation, gilt pierced and engraved masque foliate cock, fusee, square baluster pillars. Gilt dial, engraved with flora, foliage and fruit, centre with engraved town scene with jousting knight in shining armour, silvered chapter ring with black infilled Roman numerals and single central steel hour hand. Later gilt case, faceted glass side panels.
