A fine Swiss 18 carat gold hunting cased quarter repeating full calendar chronograph keyless lever watch with moon phases, circa 1900. Nickel finished jewelled lever movement, bimetallic compensation balance, repeating on two polished steel hammers. Gold cuvette. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer Arabic five minute and fifths of a second divisions, month aperture at twelve o’clock, three subsidiary dials for day, date, constant seconds and moon phases. Plain case, repeating slide and chronograph button in the band. Case numbered and stamped with casemaker’s initials ‘R.P’.
