Gold open faced lever chronograph by Audemars Piguet

A fine, rare Swiss 18 carat gold open faced minute repeating split seconds chronograph keyless lever watch, circa 1911. Retailed by Tiffany & Co, New York. Nickel finished lever movement, 25 jewels, bimetallic compensation balance, micrometer regulator, minute repeating on two polished steel hammers. Gold cuvette. Gilt dial with Breguet numerals, outer five minute divisions, blued steel moon style hands, two subsidiary dials for 30 minutes register and constant seconds. Plain case, engraved initials WHA to the back, repeating slide in the band, split seconds chronograph mechanism operated through button in the band and through the crown. Case numbered by watchmaker, cuvette and movement signed and numbered by watchmaker, dial signed by retailer.
