A fine Swiss 18 carat rose gold hunting cased keyless detent chronometer, circa 1900. 3/4 Plate nickel finished jewelled Earnshaw type spring detent movement, screwed gold chatons, bimetallic compensation balance with gold screws, blued steel helical balance hairspring, glazed dust cover. Gold cuvette. White enamel dial with Arabic numerals, outer gilt dot minute track with Arabic five minute divisions, sunken subsidiary seconds dial. Heavy engraved case, geometric design to the front cover with blank monogram plaque, back cover with lion motif to the central zone, surrounded by geometric design. Case, cuvette and movement signed, case and cuvette numbered.
