A fine English 18 carat gold and enamel pair cased verge watch made for the Turkish market, circa 1733. Full plate gilt finished verge movement, chain fusée, pierced and engraved balance cock, silvered regulator disc. White enamel dial with Turkish numerals. Polished inner case, outer case with polychrome enamel floral and leaf motif throughout the rim and bezel, central panel with polychrome enamel harbour scene with ships and landscape to the back. Dial and movement signed, movement numbered, both cases with London date letter for 1733 and marked AN.
