A rare Swiss 18 carat gold 100 French Franc, Napoleon III, coin watch, circa 1974. Nickel finished lever movement, 18 jewels, freesprung Gyromax balance. Champagne coloured dial with Roman numerals, all hinged within a circular case composed of a gold Empire Française 100 Franc with Eagle looking to the right, dated 1882, the front reading Napoleon III Empereur with profile, engraved band reading La France Dieu Protege, hinged cover opened by depressing a concealed thumb piece in the band, snap on back. Case, dial and movement signed, case and movement numbered.
