A very fine, rare and small French 21 Carat gold and enamel hunting cased bassine shaped pocket watch with concealed enamel dial, circa 1670. Gilded brass full plate movement with fusee and gut line, verge escapement, steel monometallic balance without hairspring, pierced and engraved gilded continental cock. White enamel dial with Roman numerals and single hand. The case on both sides with a polychrome enamel scene depicting Venus, Bacchus and Ceres during grape harvest, the inside painted with a farm scene next to a river and a traveller, the band with four landscape vignettes. Movement signed.
