Gilt verge clock watch by Joseph Geymüller
–
A very interesting and early German gilt brass open faced hour and quarter striking verge clock watch with bell, circa 1720. This watch has a technically highly complicated and decorated fire gilt verge movement, hour self strike, quarter hour repeater, unusual pillars, and an engraved barrel. The silver dial displays Roman numerals and is complemented by very fine iron hands. The pierced case is crafted from gilt brass, and the movement is signed.
