Silver keyless lever pocket watch

A very fine Swiss, silver and pink gold, a keyless pocket watch with chronograph and register, circa 1900. Accompanied by the Extract from the Breguet Archives. Sold on April 26, 1900, to Comte Marescot for 600 Francs. A solid, polished case, pink gold hinges, crown, thumb-piece and chronograph button, the front cover engraved with a small Count’s coronet, and button at 12 for the start/ stop and return-to-zero function of the chronograph. Hinged silver cuvette.

White enamel dial with radial Roman numerals, inner red 24-hour numerals, outer minute track and outermost fifths of a second division with Arabic five-minute numerals, subsidiary dials for the seconds and 30-minute register. Gold spade hands. A matte gilt movement, 25 jewels, wolf’s tooth winding, moustache straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring with overcoil, index regulator. Cuvette signed.
