Gold lever open faced pocket watch

A very fine and rare Swiss, 18K yellow gold, trip minute-repeating, two-train keyless pocket watch by Charkes L. Paar, circa 1900. Attributable to H.R. Ekegrén, retailed by Tiffany & Co.. A solid, polished, hinged gold cuvette, the back cover with engraved monogram. White enamel dial with letter numerals spelling the name Charles L. Paar, outer minute track with red painted ten minute numerals, subsidiary seconds, black steel spade hands.

Nickel plated movement, two train with tandem winding, 35 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with blued steel Breguet balance spring, swanneck micrometer regulator, repeating on gongs with independent train released by depressing the button on winding crown. Dial, case and movement signed.
