This exquisite timepiece features a unique dial with a distinct signature division. Its symmetrical structure comprises a fully chatoned movement, and two chain and fusee arrangements that keep the balance wheel in motion under a remarkably short cock. It was made by James Hoddell & Co. and is a prime example of English watchmaking art. The company was founded in Coventry before 1840 and continued by James’ son Cope Hoddell after his death.
