A large English doctors verge in silver pair cases, circa 1793. Full plate fire gilt movement with round pillars, pierced and engraved cock depicting military flags, engraved plate for the silver regulator disc, plain three-arm steel balance, blue steel spiral hairspring. Lateral blue steel stop lever. Attractive flat white enamel dial, large subsidiary seconds and offset chapter for time intersecting, Arabic numerals, gilt hands. Winding through the back. Maker’s mark IR in a rectangle.
