Gold pocket watch in triple case

A very fine gold enamel verge pocket watch in a triple case for the Ottoman market, circa 1793. brass/gilt case, tortoiseshell with stud decoration, large lateral hinge. 18k gold case and polychrome enamel, waved, inner edge with oral engraving and translucid taille d’epargne owers and tendrils. The outer edge is decorated with owers. Back with exquisite polychrome miniature painting: military instruments on an hexagonal engine-turned translucid red background; large outer hinge, case maker’s punch mark “AN”. Inner case – 18k gold, polished, orally engraved pendant, case maker’s punch mark “AN”. Enamel dial, radial Ottoman numerals, signed, gold Poker & Beetle hands. Full plate movement, keywind, applied orally engraved ornaments, regilt, signed, chain/fusee, Egyptian movement pillars, verge escapement, three-arm steel balance, very finely engraved pierced balance cock, large set diamond endstone on balance.
