Silver watch in a leather-covered presentation box

A fine, silver and yellow gold Swiss, with an original gold tooled, leather-covered presentation box, circa 1887. Tir Fédéral archery contest by J. J. Badollet & Cie, Geneve The keyless pocket watch was presented to Emile Imer. The back cover decorated with a scene of archers in a landscape and Geneva’s coat-of-arms, band decorated with a chased laurel wreath, gold thumb-piece and hinge. Hinged silver cuvette inscribed Geneve Tir Fédéral 1887, Emile Imer.

White enamel dial, radial Arabic numerals, outer minute track, Arabic five minute numerals, subsidiary seconds. Gold Louis XV hands. A frosted gilt movement, bridge calibre, 20 jewels, wolf’s tooth winding, stamped with the Seal of a lion-rampant within a shield, counterpoised straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator. Dial and movement signed.
