Gold watch with early cylinder escapement and stopping device

A very fine pair cased pocket watch with regulator dial, with a rare, early seconde foudroyante, an early cylinder escapement and an unusual stopping device for the Ottoman market, circa 1751. Case is 22k gold, smooth, diamond studded pendant set with a large diamond in the centre, large lateral hinge. Dial is enamel, diamond studded, Ottoman numerals, seconds at “8” and seconde foudroyante at “4”, “regulator” style with central minutes, blued filigree hand. Full plate movement, applied engraved florally pierced decorations, frosted, gilt, chain/fusee, blued screws, protective cap, moulded pillars, cylinder escapement, three-arm polished steel balance, fine florally engraved, pierced balance cock, silver regulator disc, chatoned diamond endstone on balance
