A very heavy 18 carat gold English open faced pocket watch with quarter repeating and duplex escapement, Richard Ganthony London, circa 1813.
Very rare precision movement with very large balance, special bimetallic crescent  shaped temperature compensation, screwed gold chatons, diamond endstone, duplex escapement, repeating hours and quarters, signed and numbered, original and signed enamel dial, pink gold hands, in working order, very interesting English pocket watch. Richard Ganthony was listed from 1785 to 1845 and became master of the Clockmakers’ Company London in 1828.
