A fine miniature gold enamel triple-cased verge pocket watch for the Ottoman market, circa 1813. 18K gold case, scalloped edge with polychrome ower decoration in Champlevé enamel, partly translucent and opaque enamelled, glazed back cover, à goutte, large lateral hinge, in the centre a polychrome painted enamel plaque with an alpine river landscape with a mill in the foreground, large lateral hinge. Polished, case maker punch mark AN. Enamel dial, radial Ottoman numerals, blued Breguet hands. Full plate movement, fire gilt, signed, chain/fusee, Egyptian movement pillars, three-arm steel balance, engraved pierced balance cock with vase decoration.
